Gomes Elementary School

It was a bittersweet day for the graduating class at New Bedford's Gomes Elementary as students said goodbye to Mazie, their school therapy dog.

These brave students expressed a need and put in the work to make their dream a reality.

The teacher tested positive Tuesday and has not been inside the building since Friday, officials said.
