Community Boating Center

The Greater New Bedford area — including the towns of Dartmouth and Fairhaven — is set to receive more than $2.3 million in state Seaport Economic Council grants for projects relating to coastal access and the maritime industry.

Fairhaven police are continuing the search for a person of interest in a sailboat theft Monday, after initially conducting a water search for the man thought to have taken the vessel from Community Boating Center in New Bedford.

The City's Department of Parks, Recreation, and Beaches has been working for several years to bring new recreational programs to both East and West Beaches.
