If you're headed over to Fort Taber on Saturday, July 18 for our 2nd Annual Sun of a Beach Music Festival, here's the rundown of what's happening:

1:30 p.m. - Shuttle Starts Running
If you're parking at one of the outside lots or further up the street, our event shuttle will begin making trips to and from the parking lot at 1:30 p.m. and will be doing continuous loops until 5:30 p.m. For more information on parking, click here.

2:00 p.m. - Gates Open
Folks will enter to the left side of the Fort. Have your tickets ready to be scanned by our event staff and your ID's handy if you're under 30-years-old.  All bags and coolers are subject to search by the New Bedford Police Department and prohibited items will be confiscated. For a list on what you can and cannot bring, click here.

Food and festival vendors will be set-up and ready so be sure to visit Clark's Cove Creamery, Fenway Sausage Works, Tropical Smoothie and Poppin' Mad kettle Corn to satisfy all your food cravings.

2:20 p.m. -  Craig DeMelo - the Whiskey Poet
Kicking off our event on the Carl's Collision Center Stage is Craig DeMelo and his band who play a mix of original songs and some of your summer time favorites. Craig's one of our favorite local musicians and we're proud to have him open for our event!

 3:30 p.m. -  Hope Road - A Tribute to Bob Marley & The Wailers
Rhode Island's Hope Road is ready to hit you with your favorite Bob Marley & the Wailer classics. They'll bring the passion and good vibes that you would expect from a Bob Marley show... but don't worry because when the music hits, you feel no pain.

5:30 p.m. -  Big Eyed Phish - A Dave Matthews Band Tribute Band
Our night finishes with a performance by the only regionally touring, 7-piece Dave Matthews Tribute Band from New York. You can expect songs covering the entire DMB catalog - and they don't disappoint!

7:45 p.m. - Festival Ends
Our event wraps up at sundown and that means all beach bums out! The shuttle will be waiting to take people back to their cars in the Victory Park area and will do continuous loops until everyone is out of the Fort and safely to their cars.

A big 'thank you' to our sponsors Miller Lite, Carl's Collision Center and the U.S. Army for helping us put on this year's show.  We hope you all have a great time and please be sure to let us know what you'd like to see at Sun of a Beach 2016!
