Chad Ochocinco Johnson Celebrates In-Person Sports Betting in MA

If you are fan of sports betting, then today (Jan. 31) is probably a day you have been looking forward to for a while.

You can now legally make in-person bets in the Bay State and machines are officially up and running at the three approved sites: Encore Boston Harbor, Plainridge Park Casino and MGM Springfield.

Only one of those three sites will have former NFL star Chad Ochocinco Johnson betting there.

According to a tweet from Monday night on his official Twitter account, the retired wide receiver will be at Encore Boston Harbor placing bets this afternoon - and he wants you to be there with him.

If the man is serious, he just may be dropping some serious cash for everyone in the room to place their first legal bets in the venue.

We're not sure if you have to actually respond to him on Twitter that you will be there or simply show up, but I'll bet either way the Encore casino will be packed around 4 p.m.

I mean, if someone else is willing to put up the cash, why not place a bet right?

Even if you don't bet at all, you'll definitely have a story to tell at parties when the day is done.

If you don't have plans for this cloudy Tuesday afternoon, maybe a last-minute trip to Boston is in the cards.
