State Trooper Helps Mom and Hangry Baby on Highway
The Massachusetts State Police shared a heartwarming story on Facebook.
Yesterday afternoon, Trooper Nate Monteiro was traveling on Route 24 in Raynham when he came upon a vehicle in the breakdown lane. Below is the story from Alexandra, the mother of young Sebastian, about how Trooper Monteiro helped her deal with a very hungry baby on a very hot day. Sometimes it’s the simple acts of kindness that can make all the difference in someone’s distress.
It was so hot and Sebastian wouldn’t stop crying to the point he was making himself choke. He was just hungry. I couldn’t take it anymore. So I pulled over. I ended up feeding him and then a cop pulled up 10 minutes later. I was so scared, I thought I was like breaking the law idk. Anyways I told him I was feeding my son and he was very nice and went back to his car and got my son baby beanie. I think it’s a cow. And he sat in his car till I was done feeding him to make sure I was safe. It was pretty cool.
Alexandra, formerly of Fall River, but currently lives in Berkley, posted photos of the trooper's car with his lights on. This small act of kindness kept this mom and her hangry baby safe while she fed him. (Also, it's September sixth, and she still has an ice scraper in the back of her car. This girl isn't taking any chances and I love it).
Trooper Monteiro, thank you for showing the world your thoughtfulness yesterday afternoon!
