The Massachusetts State Police is asking for your help in identifying the vehicle that is responsible for a hit and run accident that injured a highway worker in Fall River earlier this week.

The crash happened on Thursday night at 8:12 PM on Route 24 near the intersection of Route 195.  An employee of Liddell Brothers was struck by a car.  The driver did not stop.

According to the Massachusetts State Police Facebook post, "The employee, a 57-year-old woman, was placing a work zone sign in the breakdown lane of Route 24 northbound when she was struck. The employee suffered injuries and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital."

Her injuries are serious but she is expected to survive.
