The SouthCoast is known for its wide variety of decadent foods. From the freshest seafood you can find to some of the best dang Portuguese dishes outside of Portugal itself, there are so many dishes to enjoy and love here on the SouthCoast, and it seems no matter where you are, from Fall River to Wareham and everywhere in between, there's always a new local spot to try.

As a certified SouthCoast newbie, I'll be honest: I haven't been able to try most of the region's great spots quite yet, although everything I have tried has been top notch. That's why I needed a little help from born and bred SouthCoast natives, or at least folks who have been in the area long enough to really get a taste for true SouthCoast flavor, to help me create a food bucket list of sorts so I know what places to scout out the next time I'm feeling adventurous.

I asked for the best restaurants on the SouthCoast, and boy, did the SouthCoast deliver. I got more than 100 responses in return, and it was only right to share those responses in case you want to join me on my SouthCoast food journey. I even took the liberty of checking out each restaurant's menu and picking out an item from each that I'd like to try during my first/next visit.
