Southcoast Needs This Shopper’s Paradise
An incredibly large department store with bargain basement prices on top name-brand merchandise. How does that sound?
That's what you'll find at a store called Boscov's. I had never heard of this store before it recently opened a location in New Hartford, New York, not far from where I currently live. Soon after, many people I know were just raving about this place. The big selection at low prices. I'm not much of a shopper (except when it comes to Best Buy and Barnes & Noble), but I had to check it out.
I have to say I was surprised at the size of the store and the selection, not to mention the prices. Dockers pants at half of what I pay at other stores.
Boscov's is a family-owned business that's actually been around for over 100 years. According to Wikipedia, the chain has 50 locations in the Northeast, most are in Pennsylvania.
If you're ever in the Albany, NY area or anywhere in Pennsylvania make it a point to stp into one of the giant department stores. You could be grazing for hours.
