Find Your Christmas Spirit in this Popular SouthCoast Facebook Group
The holidays are lit, in all the right ways.
One of the best parts about the holiday season is watching local neighborhoods come alive with glowing holiday lights. It brings feelings of nostalgia and wonder, and even though it happens every year, I still get the same joyful feeling each time I see it.
It’s important to soak in the joy of the holiday season and to see as many holiday light displays as possible, but where do you even begin?
Luckily, there’s a public Facebook group for that.
With close to five thousand members, the Southcoast MA Event and Holiday Lights Displays is a perfect place to start for mapping out your holiday light route.
“(It’s) a community group that focuses on spreading holiday cheer,” said the group. The group encourages holiday lovers to post local holiday light displays and events, and some of these displays are incredibly impressive.
A house on Patton Avenue in Somerset looks like it could be a professional display, and it’s not the only one with lights from one end of the property to the other.
Jughead makes an appearance in the group, as well as local holiday events and plenty of SouthCoast holiday light displays to choose from.
I was proud of my single string of white lights on my bushes this year. I can’t imagine how these holiday light experts feel, knowing they bring so much joy to the community with their festive decorations.
If you’re looking to map out the perfect route for holiday light peeping, I suggest starting with this group.
And don't forget, the ultimate guide to Holiday Lights is coming to Fun 107. Light Up SouthCoast returns for another year, and we want to see your displays. Send a picture of your decorations to be featured in Light Up SouthCoast, 2023! Keep scrolling to check out the incredible houses from last year.
