Let’s be honest, the burger gets all the glory – but one SouthCoast couple is out to change that, one hot dog at a time.

Brandon and Jassmyne Bousquet, the duo behind the local Instagram page "Nobody Asked for Glizzy Reviews," are on a flavorful mission to hunt down the region’s best (and worst) hot dogs, bringing laughs, chaos and chili stains along the way.

Why Hot Dogs? Why Now?

It all started at Fenway Park’s Opening Day last season, when Jassmyne casually suggested reviewing hot dogs. The rest, as they say, is meaty history.

“We picked glizzys because they’re the forgotten handheld,” Brandon said. “America shows a lot of love to burgers and not enough to the humble hot dog.”

Affordable, accessible and perfect for families, the hot dog became their underdog of choice.

Where the Name Came From

The name "Nobody Asked for Glizzy Reviews" came naturally during an editing session. Brandon joked, “Hit us up with a good recommendation for more places so we can keep coming at you with these reviews that nobody asked for and maybe nobody gives a damn about," ad just like that, it stuck.

40 Dogs Deep

With 40 episodes already under their belt, the duo has chomped through enough buns to earn some serious credibility. Their current top three:

The biggest surprise so far came from Charlie’s on New Bedford's Acushnet Ave.

"One of those blink-and-you-miss-it places you’ve driven by 1,000 times,” they said. “But the glizzys were legit.”

How They Choose Where to Go

Some stops are planned based on follower suggestions, others are completely spontaneous, or literally pulled from a hat.

“We run polls, take requests, and sometimes just go where the wind (or hunger) takes us,” they said.

Who’s the Tougher Critic?

Brandon claims he’s the harsher judge. "Jazz" disagrees. The real MVP is their dog Remy, who’s just happy to taste-test and would rate every dog a 10 out of 10.

Not All Dogs Are Created Equal

While they pride themselves on honest reviews (the good, the bad and the ugly), only a few hot dogs have been truly inedible.

“We couldn’t finish the 7-Eleven or Cumberland Farms dogs,” they admitted. “Also passed on the New York Bagel one, but their bagels are still elite.”

Every review, no matter how brutal, gets posted.

Toppings and Dealbreakers

Jazz is a ketchup and mustard classicist, while Brandon gravitates toward chili cheese and specialty dogs. Their golden combo? Grilled dogs on buttered, grilled buns.

As for what they won’t tolerate: snappy skin dogs and stale buns.

"But we won’t yuck anyone’s yum,” they added.

Any Viral Moments Yet?

Nothing’s gone full viral (yet), but their chaotic Market Basket review got plenty of love. Their Leni’s Catch and Pour Farm Tavern episodes also earned high praise from locals.

Dream Glizzy Guests?

Brandon wants to invite Gordon Ramsay for his fiery critiques. Jazz picks Jennifer Coolidge, because “You look like the 4th of July. It makes me want a hot dog real bad.” Iconic.

Their dream review location for a celebrity drop-in? Wally’s Weiners, still at the top of their list.

Join the Glizzy Gang

Whether you're a fellow foodie or just here for the chaos, "Nobody Asked for Glizzy Reviews" delivers humor and heart, one bite at a time.

“We’re just a couple of foodies with a mini mic, hunting down the best glizzys around," they said. "Nobody asked for this, but we’re giving it to you anyway. If we can bring a few minutes of joy to your week, we’ve done our job. Tell a friend to tell a friend to join the Glizzy Gang!”
