A South Dartmouth man has been sentenced in Federal Court after being found guilty of receiving and possessing child pornography.

Federal Judge Dennis Saylor sentenced 29 year old Jack Bean to 63 months in Federal prison, plus five years of supervised release. Bean had pleaded guilty in February of this year.

Law enforcement agencies identified Bean as a user of an internet-based bulletin board that featured child pornography content and discussions on the sexual exploitation of minors.

Agents later found 40 images and 29 videos on Bean's laptop, showing young children engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
