A Cambridge restaurant had a very welcomed guest over the weekend and we can't help but wonder how Shawn Mendes ended up there.

Shawn Mendes did have a show at TD Garden last week and he happened to take some down time to check out the local eats. It's how he ended up hearing about Brookline Lunch in Cambridge, and that is so cool we had to share.

No doubt Shawn is a hottie, he has been a teen heartthrob, and let's face it, adults also swoon over him.

The Unexpected Run‑In

You don't just look like that, it takes lots of consistency in the gym and eating well. A chance run-in with the son of the owners of Brookline Lunch after a good pump session is what led Shawn to drop in.

Brookline Lunch has been serving up home cooking since 1937, so it's safe to say that this spot is legendary and well deserving of the celebrity sighting.

Imagine, just casually running into Shawn while you are squatting at the gym. Talk about motivation.

Behind the Grill: Mendes in Action

Shawn and his crew ended up visiting the establishment and not only taking in a ton of the local fare, but also jumping behind the grill, as a post to Brookline Lunch showed us.

Mendes even took some time to sign the wall. Clearly, he isn't the only celebrity that has dropped into this gem.

It appears Shawn is in a very good place and is having fun touring and not being too front-and-center when it comes to the spot light.

Let's not forget the food, because as yummy as Shawn is, just look at those baklava pancakes!

Now that Shawn has stopped in, I may have to hop onto the MBTA and make my way up to Cambridge.
