Elderly Rehoboth Man Killed in Seekonk Crash After Possible ‘Medical Episode’
SEEKONK (WBSM) — A fatal crash in Seekonk this afternoon claimed the life of an 85-year-old Rehoboth man.
According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, John Denardo was killed when his vehicle crashed with another vehicle on County Street.
The D.A.’s Office said preliminary investigation indicates Denardo’s Cadillac was traveling east in the vicinity of 985 County Street at around 4:10 p.m. today when it “unexpectedly crossed over into the westbound lane and crashed into an oncoming Toyota Camry.”
The Camry was driven by a 43-year-old man, with his wife and daughter as passengers. All three were treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.
No criminal charges have been filed. The D.A.’s Office said the investigation into the crash is ongoing, but that it appears Denardo “may have had a medical episode prior to the crash.”
