See Beautiful – The Carole King Musical At PPAC This Weekend

Beautiful - The Carole King Musical is playing in Providence through this weekend and it is totally worth seeing!

Admittedly I only came to love Carole King's music thanks to Gilmore Girls.

The legendary singer/songwriter's song "Where You Lead" is the show's theme song and when I heard it, I loved it.

From there my mother turned me on to the Tapestry album and a serious love of Carole King began. I was even lucky enough to sit third row for a performance at Mohegan Sun Arena once...it was awesome.

But despite loving her music, I never really knew her story. That's why I was thrilled to finally be able to see Beautiful - The Carole King Musical at the Providence Performing Arts Center recently.

The show was so, so, so, so good. The cast was just great, the sets were amazing and the costume changes literally happen before your eyes...and leave you wondering what just happened!

But I think the best part of Beautiful is the fact that anyone can go see this musical. You definitely don't have to be a Broadway buff to know and love the songs you'll hear during the show.

Every track they sing, is one you've heard on the radio (or in a movie or maybe even at your grandparents house), and as you enjoy the musical, you get a doowop show to boot!
