Rochester Police Schedule Entrance Exam

Rochester's Police Department is calling all those interested in policing to take the entrance exam on May 30,2015.

The Department currently employees 10 full time officers, 5 part time officers and a number of reserve officers. RPD serves a population of about 5,400 residents. The entrance exam will be used to fill part time positions now and full time positions in the future.

Because of the small size of the department, officers handle many of their own cases from start to finish. This allows officers the opportunity to participate in investigations, write and serve warrants, and make arrests as a result of their own work.

Additionally, Rochester Police also have the opportunity to participate in specialized units like the Bike Patrol, ATV Patrol, and Swat Team.
