Now's your opportunity to begin a great career in law enforcement through the Rochester Police Department.

The department is looking to fill part-time officer positions for now, but is also looking for full-time officers for the future.

So, if you've been waiting for your chance to break onto the scene, this is your chance to take an entry-level test and possibly start a new career.

The Rochester Police Department is relatively small, with 10 current full-time officers, 5 part-time officers, along with a number of reserve officers serving a population of about 5,400 residents.

Because the department is so small, most officers get to see investigations from start to finish. They also get to take part in the department's specialized units, like the dive team, SWAT team, and search and rescue team attached to the Southeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (SEMLEC).

You can check the exam eligibility and requirements at www.policeexamsolutions.com. Any questions are to be directed to the testing company through the "contact us" section of their website.  Any calls made directly to the police department or Police Exam Solutions, may disqualify you from being hired.

All registrations MUST be done online.
