Road Trip Worthy: Maine Campground Adds More Glamping Options
Want to get away this summer and enjoy the great outdoors...in style? A Maine campground has added even more glamping options, including accommodations for kids.
If I'm going to sleep in the woods, glamping is the way I want to do it.
I mean I love nature and all, but sleeping on the ground is not for me. Sleeping in this set up definitely is...
That is just one of the many glamping sites they have a Sandy Pines Campground in Kennebunkport, Maine.
The campground itself is in a secluded forest near Goose Rocks Beach and offers marsh views and salty breezes.
They also have a heated saltwater pool, kids kraft tent, a playground, general store and as their website calls them "sparkling public bathrooms."
And though you can stay there in your tent or trailer, you can also rent some seriously swanky retreats.
They've dubbed their glamping section, "serenity areas" and for the 2019 season they'll now include a tricked out airstream, a glass house, a shepherd's hut, a conestoga wagon and an oasis dome.
The new sites are in addition to the camp cottages they've been offering for a while now.
And the full-on glamping safari tents.
The cabins, glamp tents and new unique retreats offer plenty of amenities, like queen and king-sized beds, seating and fire pits. The glamp tents and retreats even have heating, AC and some have lighting and mini fridges.
That's how I want to camp!
And if that is too fancy, but tents are too campy try the middle ground with their hideaway huts.
Looks like an awesome way to vacation if you ask me.
