Ride The Polar Express In Rhode Island
It's a favorite holiday movie that comes to life every winter in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.
The Polar Express train ride in Woonsocket is so good, that it was called one of the top Christmas attractions in the country by the Chicago Tribune.
Making it definitely worth the road trip!
The Blackstone Valley Tourism Council does Christmas right year after year, with this unforgettable family experience.
When you first arrive at the Historic Blackstone Valley Train Depot (about an hour before departure time is advised) you can start by taking photos with the Polar Express backdrops, bring the kids to write letters to Santa or color festive pictures. And of course there is a gift shop on hand to commemorate the trip with a little something.
Once aboard the train, you head out for a 90-minute ride filled with storytelling, songs, games and plenty of cookies and cocoa (in souvenir mugs)! Then the ride finishes with a visit from Santa himself, who delivers a gift to every child.
And after the train ride is over, you can stick around for complimentary photo with Santa for your Christmas cards!
The December dates are selling out quick...so if you want to experience this event for yourself, you better get yours quick.
The Polar Express runs Fridays at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
