Major Production Company Looking for Next Big Star Out of Rhode Island

Hey Rhode Islanders, now is your chance to be a star.

A production company is looking to create a new show with Rhode Island at the center, and an open casting call has invited any and all locals to apply.

The popular page called “Rhode Island Probz” broke the announcement on Wednesday to their 121 thousand followers.

“Are you the next hit reality show based in RI?” asked the page. “Now casting Rhode Islanders who feel like they are the next big show!”

The announcement says a major production company is seeking Rhode Island-based families, groups of friends, and/or businesses that are the “next big thing.”

So, which production company is it? That part seems to be tight-lipped, but a closer look into the comment section shows that locals are buzzing at the chance of being a star.

“I drink Awful Awfuls every day, I think I got what it takes,” said one user.

“Are we finally getting a Real House Wives of Rhode Island?!” said another.

Dozens of people begged for more details in the comments as many online users called the post “vague.”

“From what we understand, they are casting a wide net and are not looking for anything specific,” said the Instagram page.

It sounds like the production team is open to all ideas.

“A Rhode Island DJ that spends her nights Kickboxing and enjoying nights out on Federal Hill,” has a nice ring to it.
