whdh.com reports that Wes Brown was playing football at his home in Rehoboth last night around 9pm when he spotted something moving out of the corner of his eye.

“I saw something that looked like my cat almost but then I saw the ears and it looked grey because it was dark out so I couldn't exactly see,” he said.

Brown said that he tried to get away from the animal but as he ran toward his house, the animal, which is thought to be a fisher cat, bit him in the leg. Brown said that he had to hit it off with his hand and close the door on its head in order for it to get off.

Animal Control believes it was indeed a fisher cat which are reported to be vicious and to make sure to avoid it.

Brown is going to get his rabies vaccine and is reportedly going to be fine. His parents have set up traps in their backyard in case the animal comes back.
