With all of the negativity surrounding the NFL over the past couple of weeks, I'd like to share an incredible story from the Baltimore Ravens.  Elite Daily is reporting that Ma’ake Kemoeatu has retired from the NFL in order to donate his kidney to his ailing brother, Chris (who was also an NFL player on the Steelers).

His brother had been suffering from kidney problems since middle school. Kemoeatu said that he couldn't envision a world in which he kept playing football while his brother was sick on the sidelines. He told ESPN,

“I’m the oldest of the seven kids, and it’s my responsibility to take care of my younger brothers and sisters. If my younger siblings need blood, it’ll be my blood. If they need a kidney, it’ll have to be my kidney."

I plan on sharing this story with my 7-year-old son to show him that he can, in fact, look up to NFL players.
