Quahog Republic Serves Up Surprisingly Great Wings

When you hear the name Quahog Republic, it doesn't exactly scream "best wings in town," but the Whaler's Tavern (part of the Quahog Republic's roster of SouthCoast restaurants) just might have the best wings in New Bedford.

Of course, you'd expect those Monsta Lobsta rolls, the stuffed quahogs and the cod cakes. And you'd expect them to be great, which they are! But, the first time I was served the chicken wings at Quahog Republic, I was blown away.

They are the biggest and juiciest wings I've tried in New Bedford. I got them with Buffalo sauce, but they're also served plain or with barbeque sauce. They come in a portion of eight wings for $12, and they're the best thing on the Whaler's Tavern's menu, in my opinion.
