PSA: It Is Definitely Not Christmastime Yet

I'm sick of it. Halloween JUST passed. Put the tree back in the basement, Karen!

Listen, I love Christmas just as much as the next guy. It's a magical time of year. But the thing is, it's not the whole year long. If we want Christmas to stay magical, we can't be rolling it out two months early.

I've already seen people posting Christmasy things, and it makes me sick. Call me the grinch if you want. Call me Scrooge. I'm just calling it like it is. Christmas is not only in December, but at the END of the damn month.

I realize it may seem like we put up our Christmas decorations and almost immediately have to take them back down again. I don't care. That's part of it. It's the 12 days of Christmas. Not one of those days are in November. So easy with the wreaths.

Also, jumping right to Christmas is a complete smack in the face for Thanksgiving. I LOVE Thanksgiving! We get to sit back, stuff our faces with delicious food and watch football from dusk 'til dawn. Once you're half asleep on the couch and full of turkey, then and only then can you start the transition to Christmas. Turn up the Mariah Carey and let's rock around the Christmas tree. But until then, let's remember that IT'S THE BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER!
