The New England Patriots' big win in Buffalo last week has Pats fans believing again. After stunning the Bills on Sunday Night Football, the Patriots suddenly look like a team to watch again.

In this week’s Patriots Preview with Nick Coit, our Pats go-to said that last week’s win was more than just an upset, it was a statement.

“What that win did was tell everybody in New England, and probably around the country, to look out for this Patriots team,” Coit said. “They’ve got a young quarterback making big plays in big spots, a veteran receiver stepping up, and a tough, physical defense.”

The Patriots head into this Sunday’s matchup against the New Orleans Saints with a chance to move to 4-2 on the season. It’s a far cry from the rough start that had fans scratching their heads in September.

Keeping the Energy Up After a Huge Win

Coit cautioned, however, that this week is just as important as the last. “A big win’s nice,” he said, “But if you follow it up with a dud, what does that win really mean? The key is to keep your foot on the gas.”

He also praised head coach Mike Vrabel’s leadership, describing him as “a player’s coach who knows how to connect because he’s lived it from the bottom of a roster to the top.”

Coit’s Fantasy Football Sleeper of the Week

For fantasy football players, Coit’s sleeper pick is a familiar face: former Patriot Kendrick Bourne, now making an impact with the San Francisco 49ers. “He’s getting double-digit targets and over 100 yards last week,” Coit said. “He’s worth a bench pickup.”

Coit’s Prediction: Patriots 28, Saints 14

Coit is picking the Patriots to stay hot. “They ride this wave through to more success this week,” he said confidently. “They come home 4-2 by the end of the weekend.”
