A travel site just listed this well know Fall River house as one of the most haunted places in the country.

If you're into the spooky stuff, you are living in the right place.

That's because Conde Nast Traveler magazine has listed two Massachuetts locations on their 30 Most Haunted Places in America list. Including a well-known house in Fall River.

You guessed it, the Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast cracked the top 30 for all the creepy activity reported there. Like the sounds of weeping or footsteps in the hall, doors opening and closing on their own and even an apparition in Victorian-era clothing being seen wandering the house.

Creepy indeed.

Yet despite it being so close, I've never actually been.

In fairness I'm not a huge fan of scary stuff, so I probably couldn't handle an actual overnight in this most haunted place. But those who are clearly get their money's worth.

But maybe you've already done the Lizzie Borden thing for Halloween?

Then how about the House of Seven Gables in Salem.

Also landing on the most haunted list, this house (that inspired the classic novel) was around during the Salem Witch Trials and has been remodeled many times since.

Now resembling the house as described in Nathaniel Hawthorne's book and being run as museum, staff say all sorts of spooky things happen here.

Ghost sightings and rocking chairs rocking themselves have been reported, plus there's a creepy attic to explore and secret passageways.

You can take tours of the house throughout the year, but they make them extra spooky in October.
