One Dead in 495 Crash in Middleboro

MIDDLEBORO — One person has died as the result of a motor vehicle crash on Interstate 495 in Middleboro.

The crash occurred before 4 p.m. on Friday between Exits 2 and 3 in the northbound lanes I-495.

Massachusetts State Police say the lone occupant of the vehicle in the crash was pronounced dead.

The accident remains under investigation.

As of 5:30 p.m. the two left lanes of I-495 northbound remained closed to accommodate emergency responders during the investigation.
