This coming summer, there'll be a tagged great white shark swimming in the waters off Cape Cod named "Mueller." That name is thanks to an anonymous donation inspired by a weird story. The name is also in honor of Robert Mueller, who is the head of the Special Counsel investigating the possible Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential election.

The odd part of the story involves a former adult-film star. She claims to have had an affair with President Trump nearly 12 years ago. In a recent interview, Stormy Daniels says that she and Trump were watching "Shark Week" on TV, when the man who is now President said, "I hate sharks, I wish they all would die."

According to capecod.com, after reading the Daniels interview, an anonymous donor gave Atlantic White Shark Conservancy $2,500. The condition of the donation is that the latest tagged shark be named after Robert Mueller. The organization has said that many other donations have been coming in for the same reason.

Great white sharks have become common in the waters off Chatham in recent years. They are apparently drawn to the area by the growing population of grey seals.

Two years ago, another great white was tagged and given the name Big Papi, in honor of former Red Sox slugger David Ortiz.
