New Years Shooting In New Bedford

Breaking News out of New Bedford of a shooting that resulted in a fatality.

wpri.com is reporting that one person has died in New Bedford after a shooting. Just after 8 O'Clock tonight a young man in his twenties arrived at St Lukes Emergency Room for a gun shot wound . At the same time Police were being alerted by the shot-spotter system of shots fired on Pleasant Street. At this time, it is unkown how many victims are involved and the name of the deceased has not been released.

Police are securing the scenes, investigating and talking to witnesses. Police have also secured an area around St Lukes Hospital. No arrest have been made at this time
