New Matt Damon-Casey Affleck Movie Filming in Boston
Ben Affleck was just working the drive thru of Dunkin in Medford, now his brother and his best friend are coming back to Massachusetts to shut down a Boston bakery.
The bakery is Bova's Bakery in the North End and it will close for five days later this month to accommodate filming of a new crime drama starring Damon and the younger Affleck.
The two Academy Award winners are working on 'The Instigators', an Apple Original Film written by Casey Affleck and Chuck MacLean and produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.
The new film has a ton of star power and a few days of scheduled shooting in Boston's North End. From March 20 - March 25 crews are expected to be both inside and outside the nearly 100-year-old bakery for a botched heist scene.
Deadline.com reports that 'The Instigators' is about "two thieves who go on the run with the help of one of their therapists after a robbery goes awry."
Apparently the failed heist goes all wrong somewhere in the North End and parts of Salem Street in Boston will be shut down as smashed movie glass fills the streets.
No word on if the smashed glass comes from a shootout or from the thieves smashing things in the robbery gone wrong, but either way the street will see limited traffic from 8 A.M. until midnight during the filming days.
Fingers crossed for the film crew that they at least get to try Bova's Bakery's treats while they're in town, especially considering the Phantom Gourmet has declared their Tiramisu to be the best in the country.
