The South Coast may soon have a new tool in the fight opioid abuse

Do you think this is a good idea? In an effort to fight the opioid abuse problem, Senator Elizabeth Warren and Representative Clark have filed a bill that would allow Pharmacist to only partially fill opioid prescriptions.

The legislation would allow a portion of a prescription to be filled at the request of patients or doctors and again be filled if needed at a later date.

According to the Fall River Herald more then 70 percent of opioid addicts get their pills from friends and family and some feel this may reduce the amount of medication available at once

Another prosed law would require medical students to take a "pain management class " as part of their medical training. Do you think this will help?
