Feel Festive at These New England Holiday Light Displays

From Bristol, Connecticut to Boston, Massachusetts, there are lots of larger-than-life holiday displays going up for families to enjoy this season. While your neighbor's yard may be lighting up the street, these huge holiday displays are lighting up your favorite parks and zoos all across the SouthCoast and beyond.

It seems like the holiday season has gotten bigger and brighter since the pandemic. People went all out decorating their houses last season as many were stuck spending their holidays closer to home, surrounded by less family than usual. The big lawn displays were their way of still holding tight to all that Christmas spirit, and local businesses got in on that feeling, too.

Last Christmas, a lot more area attractions got into creating incredible walkthrough and drive-thru light shows for people to get out and enjoy. Roger Williams Park Zoo had its first ever holiday light drive-thru, Gillette Stadium welcomed the Magic of Lights event for the first time and Boston turned the Seaport into a Snowport.

This Christmas, the displays just seem to be getting bigger and more creative. Whether you want to stroll through your favorite zoo after dark or ride trains around your favorite amusement park, they all seem to have some sort of holiday light up event happening this holiday season.

Best of all, there are events for every comfort level. Families that want to get out and walk through thousands of lights can do that, while those that are still more comfortable checking the displays out from the comfort of their own car have lots of options as well.
