LIVE Pro Wrestling is once again taking over Purchase Street – but this time, it’s bringing linguica-level chaos, bifana-fueled bravado, and a full-blown "Portuguese Royal Rumble" to The Vault Performing Arts Center & Pub.

On Sunday, November 30, Teddy Goodz and the LIVE Pro Wrestling crew are teaming up with The Portuguese Kids' Derrick DeMelo and Brian Martins for a brand-new event called WrestleFesta, a Portuguese-themed wrestling extravaganza that doubles as a toy drive fundraiser helping local families across the SouthCoast during the holiday season.

It’s wrestling. It’s comedy. It’s culture – and it’s all for a good cause.

A Toy Drive With Real Impact

WrestleFesta is partnering with Cojo’s Toy World to collect gifts for the Christmas Wishes program, which supports local families by providing toys, clothes and holiday gifts tailored specifically to each child’s wish list.

Here’s how it works:

  • Donate three toys at the door and receive one raffle ticket
  • Win multiple prizes throughout the night
  • The grand prize: an official WrestleFesta Championship Title Belt, custom-made through Cojo’s
  • Partial ticket proceeds also go directly to Christmas Wishes, helping organizers purchase items for local kids whose needs aren’t fully met through toy donations

The First-Ever Portuguese Royal Rumble

The heartbeat of the night will be the highly anticipated Portuguese Royal Rumble, hosted by The Portuguese Kids as their wrestling-alter-ego commentators "Mean-O Lino Sousa" and "Bobby 'The Brain' Bifana."

Teddy Goodz said fans can expect a rumble full of surprises, Portuguese-inspired characters, and “a good balance of embracing and poking fun at the stuff we all grew up with.” Every two minutes, a new entrant hits the ring, from "Bobby Bacalhau" to "Manny Malasadas" and more.

Yours truly, DJ Gazelle, will step into the chaos as "Rocky Mozambique."

A Perfect Blend of Wrestling and Comedy

Goodz said that the collaboration with The Portuguese Kids has been a long time coming.

“Brian’s a huge wrestling fan and always comes to the shows when he’s home,” he said. “We kept joking back and forth about doing something Portuguese-themed with wrestling. This year, it finally clicked: why not make it the (annual) toy drive show?”

WrestleFesta will feature a stacked lineup of LIVE Pro Wrestling talent, including Anthony Greene, Channing Thomas, Sidney Bakabella, TJ Crawford, Love, Doug, Dustin Waller, Ichiban, DJ Powers, Ashley Vox, BRG, Joe Zamora, Craig Costa, Sweatboy, Donnie Staxx, and Jason Blade, along with a handful of surprise Portuguese-themed characters created exclusively for this special event.

Fans can expect three to four full matches before the comedic mayhem of the Portuguese Royal Rumble begins. Consider it a mix of legitimate pro wrestling and cultural comedy.

“It’s the best of both worlds,” Goodz said. “Wrestling fans will be happy, Portuguese Kids fans will be happy, and everyone who wants to donate to a good cause will be happy.”

The Portuguese Kids Bring the Flavor

Derrick and Brian won’t just be backstage. They’ll be front and center, hosting and calling the action live.

If you’ve ever seen their “Tables, Ladders & Cuacas” skits, you already know this rumble is going to be ridiculous in all the right ways.

Will Teddy Goodz Wrestle?

When asked if he would step foot in the ring despite his retirement, Goodz kept things intentionally mysterious — so consider that a tease.

He did confirm one thing: he is half-Portuguese, so if that fuels your speculation… you’re not alone.

About Christmas Wishes

The Christmas Wishes program is run by Kevin and Lori Dean, who work closely with The Vault. Families in need submit holiday wish lists for their children — everything from toys and crafts to clothing and books.

Donations from events like WrestleFesta allow organizers to:

  • Distribute donated toys to local families
  • Use financial donations to purchase specific items for kids
  • Connect donors directly with families through “adopt-a-family” programs

11 Most Shocking + Violent Moments in AEW History

"I am unapologetic about my love of... whatever you want to call it... the deathmatch style, hardcore. I love that stuff," Jon Moxley famously told Chris Van Vliet. "I understand most people are gonna think that's crap and they're not gonna want to watch that. Although I make no apologies that I like that stuff, I would never foist it upon everybody else. It's not like I walked into AEW and was like 'Look, all my matches are going to be crazy.' I never imagined we'd be able to do stuff like that."

Since its official formation in 2019, AEW has become wrestling's premiere destination for extreme acts of violence. With an entire locker room influenced by Atsushi Onita's FMW and Paul Heyman's ECW, both the men and women of AEW have created gruesome and iconic moments that rival any era of pro wrestling.

Tables, ladders, chairs, garbage cans and even kendo sticks have become commonplace in hardcore matches. But a bat full of a nails? A hypodermic needle? A champagne bucket filled with broken glass? These instruments of pain remain sickening to the core.

10 Fastest Championship Matches in WWE History

A lightning fast championship match can be shocking, both for the right and the wrong reasons. Some of the quickest matches in WWE history have caused Superstars like Daniel Bryan to be catapulted to the top of the card, while others like Kofi Kingston had short moments of glory snatched away from them.

For this list, we're not counting Money in the Bank cash-ins like Dean Ambrose pinning Seth Rollins in nine seconds or Jack Swagger taking Chris Jericho's title in eight seconds. These are mostly traditional matches, minus one Money in the Bank precursor where Trish Stratus pulled the biggest heel move of her career.

Of course this is wrestling, so cheating is 100-percent legal for this list. If you happened to low blow your opponent just moments before the match began, only for the bell to ring thanks to some hapless referee -- that's a'okay with us!

Whether it be an iconic retirement match at Wrestlemania or a bizarre untelevised moment between a veteran and a rising star at Madison Square Garden, these are officially the 10 fastest championship matches in the history of WWE. Get out your stopwatches if you don't believe us!
