Sometimes a toy or a teddy bear goes a long way.

This Saturday, July 21st, there will be a toy drive at Pub 6T5 Bar & Grill (736 Ashley Blvd) in New Bedford from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM.

The Toy Drive is being organized by the mother and grandmother of a young local girl by the name of Grace Winsper. Grace has a rare form of epilepsy called West’s Syndrome and requires around the clock care.

Every time an ambulance/paramedic or police officer would come to Grace's house, they would bring a stuffed animal for her.

The whole point to the Toy Drive is to collect toys and/or stuffed animals for the firefighters, EMT’s and policemen to bring to kids like Grace during any call or crisis.

Once again, stop by between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM on Saturday and be the difference in a child's life, just by dropping off a toy or too. We tend to forget about those who could use the simplest gesture that just might bring comfort to their life.

If you have any questions pertaining to the event, please feel  free to reach out and contact Jessica Starkie (508)-951-3470 or Mary Winsper (508)- 951-9098 in regards to Grace's "Fight Like A Girl" toy drive.
