Rent This New Bedford Private Pond for a Close-to-Home Getaway
NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) — Today, many sites allow us to rent homes for short or long-term accommodations.
Recently, access to pool rentals has also been available on the marketplace, but did you know you can also rent out a pond to enjoy?
The site Swimply.com is a hidden gem of pool rentals, courts, backyards and other convenient spaces by the hour.

Among the hundreds of listings from all over, one in particular, located in New Bedford, stands out" a freshwater pond, a truly exclusive find, available to rent.
"Share a little piece of heaven," the listing states. "Our yard is directly on a small freshwater pond where you can swim, fish, boat and most importantly RELAX. Enjoy the serene views from the deck or tanning next to the water on the dock. Time spent here is like being on vacation!"
It's rare to come across a property rental such as this one, but it seems like a deal worth taking.
For $40 an hour, you can access the private pond, two kayaks, a floating dock and even pool toys to add to the fun. This experience doesn't have to be a solo trip, either. According to the listing, up to 20 guests are allowed to join.
If you plan to spend a whole day on the pond, you can also enjoy a fire pit and grill for an additional fee of no more than $15.
With overcrowded beaches and pools this summer, a pond rental instead isn't a bad idea.
It's perfect for a leisurely swim or a small party on the water. Like a mini getaway, friends and family can spend hours amidst a beautiful nature view in the privacy of your own space.
