I don't think there is any better feeling as a kid than when you find out school is cancelled - especially when it comes in song form from your principal!

Principal Lena Pires at Global Learning Charter School decided to have some serious fun announcing what goes into choosing to close (or not close) school with an impending snow storm a mere 12 hours away...She SANG it - in a custom song, sung to the beat of 21 Pilot's Ride.

Not only does she get brownie points for having some crazy singing / lyric writing skills, but it looks like Global Charter Learning IS closed tomorrow. Giving the kids (and parents!) a snow day. Ya know, just in case the song wasn't cool enough.

My favorite line? "I just want to stay in the sun where it's warm, I know it's hard to find. Teachers need to teach in snow or shine, I know it's hard sometimes. Yeah, I think about the summers way too much, but it's fun to fantasize. All my students wishing for the days off, yeah, it's fun to fantasize."
