NEW BEDFORD — Members of the New Bedford Police Department Narcotics Unit were investigating a Fentanyl distribution service out of an apartment at 2249 Acushnet Avenue.

A search warrant was executed at the residence and detectives uncovered tablets, Suboxone strips, Suboxone, more than five grams of Fentanyl, more than $1,300 in cash, digital scales and packaging materials.

Police arrested Adam DeMedeiros, 29, of Acushnet Avenue, New Bedford, on charges of possession of Fentanyl with intent to distribute, possession of class E substance and two counts of possession of class B substance.

The arrest was made at 7:54 p.m. on Thursday.
