A new Dunkin’ is set to open in the West End of New Bedford, bringing the city's total to 18.

The latest addition will be situated at 140 Nauset Street, at the corner of Mount Pleasant Street.

Plans for this new Dunkin' were unveiled in July 2023.

The site was formerly home to Tristan Medical Express Care, which once provided walk-ins, labs, X-ray tests and primary care. That building was knocked down. With the space now ready, developers are moving forward to add yet another Dunkin’ to the area.

While no official opening dates have been announced, a Dunkin’ banner was spotted hanging proudly on the construction site this week, alongside a South Coast Development LLC sign.

This new location is .2 miles away from a Dunkin' at 131 Nauset Street — a mere four-minute walk from door to door — but word is that location is closing.

The new Dunkin' will draw in customers from all over the city once a grand opening celebration is scheduled.

After all, not only does America run on Dunkin’, but New Bedford clearly thrives on it, too.
