
New Bedford Police Searching for Missing 85-Year-Old Man With Dementia
UPDATE: New Bedford Police report the man has been located.
NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) — The New Bedford Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing elderly man with a history of dementia.
Police identified the 85-year-old man as “Antonio” and said he had last been seen on Myrtle Street at around 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 2.
He was last seen wearing a dark sweatshirt, jeans and a baseball cap.
Police said Antonio has a history of dementia.

The Victims in the New Bedford Highway Murders
The New Bedford highway murders took place in 1988, with the bodies discovered into 1989. The killer is confirmed to have killed nine women and suspected of murdering at least two more. Although there were at least three different men considered as suspects by the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, the murders remain unsolved and the families of the victims are still searching for closure.
