New Bedford Man Goes Into Cardiac Arrest, Hits Another Driver

Our thoughts are with the families after a tragic accident this afternoon in New Bedford.A man at the wheel of a large 2005 Ford 500 allegedly went into cardiac arrest this morning and struck a female driver near Potomska Street and MacArthur Drive according to New Bedford Police and Southcoast Today.

The female victim’s Mitsubishi Gallant rolled over on Potomska Drive, and the Ford left the roadway and hit a fence. The driver of the Mitsubishi received facial injuries. She was brought to the Rhode Island Hospital, while the driver of the Ford was brought to St. Luke’s Hospital, where he is in very bad shape.
