Scary moments for one New Bedford homeowner as they caught an armed suspect breaking into their apartment.

NBC 10 reports that Carlos Forty-Algarin was arrested on Wednesday by New Bedford police after a homeowner caught him in the act of robbing her.

Police told NBC 10 that a woman returned to her apartment on Davis Street Wednesday morning and found Forty-Algarin in her residence. He allegedly then apologized to the homeowner and took off.

He had stolen some video games from the apartment he was found in as well as from another apartment in the same building.

Police had to Taser Forty-Algarin to take him into custody. He was charged with breaking and entering as well as possession of a dangerous weapon due to the knife found on him at the time of his arrest.
