A big thank you to everyone who went out to eat at our New Bedford Food For Tots locations last night. We have the results from all of your eating!

Our participating restaurants donated 15 percent of their total sales to Food For Tots.

Congratulations to Greasy Luck for leading the league last night with a $780 donation.  Rose Alley Alehouse donated $660, Antonio's $735, Moby Dick Brewing Company $669, End Zone came in at $675 and Top Shelf Bar and Grill made a $550 donation.  That, coupled with a matching donation of $2500 from Stephen and Company Salon and Spa, brings New Bedford to a grand total of nearly $7,000.

We also want to thank an Acushnet Police officer for his donation of $100, and another anonymous donor also gave us $100. When it was all set and done, New Bedford brought in $7,000 for the pediatrics department at St. Luke's Hospital New Bedford.

We can't thank our participating restaurants enough for their generosity. So far, our Foot For Tots campaign has made stops in Fairhaven, Dartmouth, Fall River, Tri-Town and New Bedford. Between the five stops, our community has come together to donate over $47,000 for support of the Boston Children's Hospital services at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford.

A big thank you to all of the people who went out of their way to go out to eat last night in New Bedford. Each of our participating restaurants was at near-capacity for lunch and dinner yesterday. It is so inspiring to see so many giving to such a worthy cause.

As I say on the air, whether you are rich or poor, chances are strong that a child you love will need to visit the emergency room at some point or another. Our community simply can't put a price on the benefit of having the world's best pediatricians caring for our children right here in New Bedford.
