New Bedford Dunkin' Upgrades on Acushnet Avenue

It's hard to miss the huge new Dunkin' sign welcoming caffeine-seeking customers on Acushnet Avenue in New Bedford.

The location has undergone some major renovations as part of its upgrade project. The company has been in the process of upgrading its locations across the nation, calling the new locations "Next Generation Dunkin'." The upgrades allow the Dunkin' stores to serve things like Nitro Cold Brews with a modern look and feel, including coffee taps.

To celebrate, starting today, the new Next Generation Dunkin' store at 2095 Acushnet Ave in New Bedford will be giving customers a chance to win free coffee for a year. There will be multiple winners every day this week through Sunday, April 18.

According to Dunkin' manager Carlos Rodriguez, the store was giving them away at a rate of once every 15 minutes this morning. So how are the random winners chosen?

"I'm given a list of times that tell us when to give away the coffee for a year prizes," Rodriguez told Fun 107. When we spoke to Dunkin at 10 a.m., the location had already surprised 10 winners with free coffee for a year.

Mandy Cunha from New Bedford was one of those lucky winners this morning. She was shocked when she was handed the gift card this morning at the Dunkin' drive-thru. The card is good for four free medium hot or iced coffees per month at the Acushnet Ave location, and it is redeemable for 14 months.

The contest is open to customers using carry-out, drive-thru, and on-the-go ordering on the Dunkin' app.
