Wet Nose Wednesday is here again.

There are so many animals waiting to leave shelters for good and be united with the perfect family. That’s what Wet Nose Wednesday is all about.

Thanks to the help of shelters all over the SouthCoast, we give the spotlight to one lucky animal each week to share their story and find them a forever home.

This week, we head to New Bedford to meet a goofy puppy residing at Lighthouse Animal Shelter.

Meet Isaiah, the one-and-a-half-year-old hound mix that is 40 pounds of fun.

“If you’re looking for a good laugh, look no further than this goofball,” said the shelter. “He is an active guy who loves to be outdoors in our play yard zooming around with toys and with his best dog friend.”

No one is a stranger to Isaiah. He is very outgoing and friendly with all people that he meets.

The shelter recommends his forever family be active and ready to keep up with Isaiah’s energy.

“This social butterfly would love to go on adventures with you where he can meet new people and other dogs,” said the shelter.

Isaiah will need some help with house training and crate training, and while he has never met cats, he is great with other dogs and would thrive by having a four-legged best friend.

Does Isaiah sound like a good fit for you and your family? Contact Lighthouse Animal Shelter to schedule a play date.

If SouthCoast Dogs Had a Dating App, It Would Look Something Like This

August 26 is International Dog Day, and it got me thinking. What if there was a way for dogs to connect with other dogs in the area to make new friends? Or maybe even find love? Twenty-six dogs living on the SouthCoast sent me their profile picture and bio. Let's see the eligible pups.
