Nelly was a beautiful and strong young woman. According to her mother, she was quite the fashionista as well. When Nelly's family heard that her classmates weren't looking forward to prom because their Prom Queen would not be able to attend, they wanted to do something to lift their spirits and let them know that she is still involved.

Prom is a very expensive event, so Nelly's family would like to help other girls who can't afford a dress on their own. Laura Eaton posted on her Facebook page Friday night:

"As you all know...Nelly was my fashionita, always looked forward to prom shopping (she would start looking in February every year). She always made sure she had the classiest prom dresses and wanted to go BIG for her senior prom this year. I'm heartbroken just knowing she wont be here to enjoy her senior prom experience...So we have decided to have a Used or Unused Prom Dress Drive for any student who cannot afford to purchase one themselves for this year's junior and senior prom season..Anyone who has any dresses hung up in their closets that may never be used and would like to donate to this cause, please message me and I will arrange a time to meet. Please share this post.Thank you!!‪ #‎TEAMNELLY‬ ‪#‎PRAYFORNELLY‬ ‪#‎NELLYSTRONG‬"

If you have a dress to donate, please send Laura a private message on Facebook. The address for drop off is 192 Anawan St, Fall River, Apt 302 or 303. What a wonderful way to honor this precious soul.
