This Massachusetts City Ranked ‘Most Sinful’ in New England
When you hear the term ‘Sin City ‘ most people automatically think of Las Vegas.
With its numerous casinos, topless revues and a bar everywhere you turn, the town has definitely earned that nickname over the years.
But a new poll from WalletHub.com shows that every city has at least a little bit of sin.
The company looked to find the ‘most sinful’ cities in America, and one not too far away Massachusetts city came in as the most sinful in all of New England.
Looking at data for violent crime rates, excessive drinking incidents and the number of adult entertainment venues around, WalletHub found that Las Vegas is in fact the most sinful city in America with a vice index of 60.82.

Behind them were Houston, TX in second place with a vice index of 54.43 and Los Angeles, CA was third with a 53.79 vice index.
And closer to home Boston gets the honor of being the most sinful in New England with a vice index of 37.03.
Yes, Boston may have only ranked #83 on WalletHub 's entire list, but that was still high enough to outrank the next closest New England city of Providence, which landed #117 overall with a 33.84 vice index.

Other notable New England cities were Lewiston, ME at #127 with a 33.30 vice index, Manchester, NH at #128 with a 33.15 vice index and New Haven, CT #133 with a 32.35 vice index.
Clearly New England isn't as big on vices as other parts of the country, but perhaps that just has something to do with our Puritan roots.
