More Rhode Island Beaches Closed To Swimming
Bacteria is keeping people out of the water at some nearby Rhode Island beaches.
Bristol Town Beach was closed recently due to a sewage leak and now Rhode Island health officials are adding more beaches to their closure list.
Warren Town Beach along with Sandy Point Beach in Portsmouth, Peabody's Beach and Third Beach in Middletown, Hazard's Beach in Newport, Plum Beach in North Kingstown and Oakland and Conimicut Point Beaches in Warwick are currently closed due to poor water quality.
Health officials say the bacteria levels in the water could be dangerous to swimmers.
They will continue to check the water quality and say the beach status could change day to day.
