Family Fun Alert: Rhode Island’s R1 Karting Adds New Games

If you're looking to start a fall bucket list for fun activities with the kids, then you should definitely put R1 Karting in Lincoln, RI on your list.

Even if you don't drive a single go-kart, R1 has some serious fun for the whole family packed inside their 90,000 square-foot facility.

Thanks to my adult nephews I recently got to experience some of their added fun features myself and it was a blast.

Though not one to speed around the karting track, my niece and nephews convinced me to join them at R1, a spot they all love.

Last summer the entertainment spot got even more entertaining, by adding challenge games to their karting and axe throwing experiences, one of which is called Mission Box.

What Is Mission Box?

This room was so much more than just a box. It was a Mission Impossible movie set in real life, where sometimes things truly seemed impossible.

The space features a floor of lights and touch buttons on the walls the somehow combines Dance, Dance Revolution, Twister and Tetris into a game that challenges both body and brain.

And it is an insanely good time.

Although Massachusetts has plenty of karting spots and challenge room venues like Level99 exist in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island, R1 is still worth the trip if you ask me.

With karting, axe throwing, food, drinks, arcade room and now numerous new challenge experiences, this spot definitely has something for everyone in your crew.
