MIDDLEBORO — Middleboro Police have arrested a Taunton woman on drunk driving charges after she was involved in a fatal car crash Tuesday night.

Police said 21-year-old Tianna Hutchinson has been charged with motor vehicle homicide, operating under the influence of liquor, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle in connection to the incident.

They arrived to find two cars — a white Chrysler 300 and a white Hyundai Sonata — damaged in the middle of the road.

First responders treated the Sonata driver on scene before the driver was taken to Tobey Hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.

The person will not be identified until their next-of-kin has been notified, police said.

Police said they found during a preliminary investigation that the cars collided head-on while driving on the wet road.

The Chrysler driver, later identified as Hutchinson, was arrested at the scene.

Police said she is being held on $10,000 cash bail and will be arraigned in Wareham District Court later today.

The crash remains under investigation.
