Middleboro’s New Restaurant Will Feature a Portuguese Steak Bomb Burrito
We love supporting local businesses in the area, especially ones that have pancakes.
If you live or work in or around Middleboro, there will soon be a new hotspot for breakfast and lunch on Route 28.
The finishing touches are being made at Middleboro's newest restaurant. Olivia's Kitchen will open for breakfast for the first time on March 1.
Tom Monte and his wife, Melissa decided to name the restaurant after their daughter, Olivia.
The restaurant is located at 578 Wareham St. inside Capeway Convenience store, which offers beer, wine, cigarettes, lottery and Keno. The restaurant inside, formerly owned by a different party, was a barbecue eatery named The Sarcastic Swine. Middleboro residents might also remember the site as an Italian restaurant named Carluccio's serving pizza, pasta and subs.
Olivia's Kitchen will be a 15-seat grab-and-go counter restaurant featuring a full breakfast and full lunch menu. Early-morning customers can expect a traditional breakfast of bacon, eggs, sausage, pancakes and French toast. The lunch menu will feature burgers, subs, salads and a Portuguese steak bomb burrito.
You can expect Olivia's to have some signature dishes such as cinnamon roll pancakes, homemade corned beef hash and crunchy cinnamon French toast.
This will not be the Montes' first restaurant. The husband and wife team operated Railway Cafe in Somerset for 11 years until a change of ownership forced them to relocate their business. The site is now home to Missing Link BBQ.
Olivia's Restaurant will be open six days a week from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
