Get ready to go back in time!

The Boston Bruins have released a video to announce their new jersey design and it's a nod to what many consider to be the greatest film of all time, Back to the Future.

 

Marty McFly Makes Big Announcement

I was floored when I saw Michael J. Fox appear in the Bruins' new video. He's a legend! Alex P. Keaton, Marty McFly; he's had some memorable roles and now he can add Bruins jersey reveal video to the list.

The actor was part of the team's announcement and unveiling of their 2025-26 season jerseys, which feature a throwback logo from the '80s.

New Year, New Look

“Next season marks the start of a new chapter in Boston Bruins history," Bruins President Cam Neely said. "And as we turn the page, we are excited to do so with a new look and feel." “Combining some fan-favorite elements from the past with a refreshed style, these sweaters are going to look sharp on TD Garden ice in the fall," he said.

Back to the Future Tribute

Not only is Michael J. Fox excited to go back to the old style, the appearance of Charlie McAvoy as an aged version of himself is quite comical and gives Biff Tannen vibes.

The beginning of the announcement video gives us a glimpse, Fox and Bruins President Cam Neely have a long friendship, dating back to their youth.

"He's been such a great friend really since I've been 19 years old," Neely once said. They met having beers in Vancouver, both early in their careers, and have maintained a strong relationship for decades.

Fox even spoke as Neely's No. 8 was retired back in 2004 saying, "I think you're the biggest, baddest Bruin of them all."
